The annual conference series of SuSChemE and SUSTENS are joining forces to host a special conference edition in Athens, Greece, on June 29–30, 2026. This co-organized event brings together the Sustainability Section of EFCE (European Federation of Chemical Engineering) and the SUSTENS HUB platform, uniting leaders in sustainability, chemical engineering, and systems innovation.

SuSChemE – “Sustainable Systems & Chemical Engineering“

SuSChemE is the inaugurating flagship event of the EFCE Sustainability Section, an initiative driven by the vision of positioning chemical engineering at the forefront of the transition to sustainable development. Rooted in a systemic and holistic approach, the EFCE Sustainability Section promotes the rebuilding of industries through circular economy principles, innovative technologies, and solutions that balance human needs with planetary viability. With strong academic and industrial participation, SuSChemE provides a platform for leadership, collaboration, and scientific progress in sustainable process and product innovation.

SUSTENS 2 – “SUSTainable ENgineering Systems“

Following the success of the 1st SUSTENS Meeting, SUSTENS 2 continues the mission of SUSTENS HUB – a global platform connecting engineers across chemical, mechanical, environmental, and computer-aided systems disciplines. As an international hub, SUSTENS brings together engineers at all career stages – from undergraduate students and researchers to industry professionals – offering access to research, development, and innovation activities designed to accelerate scientific and business growth. More than a traditional conference, SUSTENS 2 advances sustainable engineering by enabling research exchange, publication opportunities, and collaboration across academic, industrial, and entrepreneurial communities.
